Holy Cow...
What do you get when you mix ten thousand 300 Peruvians, two large cooking pits, a truck load of food, a bigger truck load of beer, a mariachi-esque band, a tree, and an axe with a sunny day?
Well, a dead tree, lots of very happy Peruvians, a bunch of tired musicians, a couple of grumpy neighbors, and a pretty good time.
Our landlords, who are Peruvian, have a "family reunion" (family is evidently a very loose term in the Peruvian dialect of the spanish language) three or four times a year on our property. This weekend was the first of the year. It was an interesting event. We all had fun, but I think Caleb may try and convert his heritage to Peruvian after this weekend.
